What is the biggest LiPo you guys have been able to fit in this beast?
It seems as though the canopy may need to be changed. I saw the other thread on that already, but what about under the stock canopy?

I'm using Loong Max 2250's from hobby city they fit snuggly under stock canopy, drilled the holes further back and up to make more room. (not needed, but it makes it easier)

Are you using 20 or 25c? Did you switch to Dean's plugs?

The mark rubbed off, I'm pretty sure they are 20C and yes they come with deans and no I just made an adaptor from deans to ec3. I like it 'cause now I can put the canopy on and not plug the battery in until ready to fly as well as when done I can unplug without having to take the canopy off first.

I've got two of those Long Max 2250 25C bats I've been running thru my B-400. I gotta admit, they fly better than my Thunder Power V2 2200. In total I've got 22 flights (11 each battery) and they just keep working. I also abuse them like red headed step children. Charge them at 5 amps right after they come out of the heli, at $29 ea I just don't care if I kill them or not. So far so good :)

How long does it take to charge at 5 amps?
and do they get warm during charge?

They take about 25 to 30 minutes to charge back up. I'm running two BC6 chargers and three Lipos. If I don't do anything stupid, I can fly pretty much non stop until I give up or crash :)

Well since reading your post, I did it too. I have an Imax B5 charger and I put it up to 5 amps the batteries never even got warm let alone hot and like you about 25 mins to charge. I wonder how much shorter life the battery will have?

I bought two 2200's (20C) from somewhere in China, via flea-bay, for £21incl.
Done over a dozen flights with each and they still out-perform the original in a big way.
Charger helps a lot though, it's a Pro-Peak Elite Competition Charger.
Gonna' experiment at charging at least one of them at a higher rate now, though :wow2:
