I have some some Flightpowers now and they are great. No issues what so ever. I recently received x2 Kongpowers and have just brokin' them in. I will be flying them very soon. My first impression of the Kongs are they are bigger and heavier than the FPs. Not that big of a deal, only now I have to re-balance my helis (kinda a pain the ass.) I'm only talkin' a 20g difference but thats enough to matter. As far as Kong claiming to be anti puff...I still wouldnt abuse the batteries. The cells feel like they are wrapped in a casing so they may get damaged even though you cant see it. I will try to update as I start flying these packs.

Definately FlightPower, for it's weight, smaller size and better punch power..........and of course it's also more expensive too.

Yes, the ones I got have TP type balance connectors. I just flew one of the KPs. Worked very well but not any better than my FPs (they are pretty old at this point), but not any worse. Even though the heli was a little nose heavy, I diddnt notice it all that much. I diddn't even bother to balance the COG. I bought a 2 pack of the KPs from ReadyHeli and saved $30 over the FPs. I cant really tell a huge difference one way or the other but if you want to save a couple bucks, get the KPs.

they both sound like good lipos, im thinking i might as well get the 2pack deal with k/p and one f/p, or maybe 4 kongs! lol $109 for 2 packs fits the budget. witch flight power are you using? im guessing the http://www.readyheli.com/v/vspfiles/templates/1/images/clear1x1.gifFlightPower EVO 25C 2170 mAh 3S1P 11.1v Battery (http://www.readyheli.com/FlightPower_Flight_Power_Premium_EVO_25C_2170_mAh_ p/evo25-21703s.htm)
and the Kong Power 3s1p 11.1v 1800mAh 25C ?

Those are the FP I have but for the kongs i'm using the 3s1p 11.1v 2200mAh 25C packs. I think you will be much happier with the 2200s over the 1800s. I should also mention that sense my Kongs are new, they have yet to show their full potential. So...my comparison between the two is not a very good one. Even without a good side by side comparison, I dont think you can go wrong with either pack. Sounds like you may buy both....good idea...Then you can compare the two from new .

I use a TP-425/TP-205v Balancer/charger combo. Not the best setup as it doesn't charge the cells individually. It charges the pack through the diascharge leads and bleeds the cells to keep balanced. I diddnt know too much about lipo chargers when I started so thats what I ended up with. It works well but requires more battery attention/maintanance.
From what I read the Cellpro would be a good choice. Plenty of people rave about it. An important thing to look for in a charger is an indication of how many mA you are putting back into your pack. You dont want to discharge any more than 80% of the pack and its easy to tell with that feature. My charger doesnt do that, I believe the Cellpro does.
Whatever charger you pick will most likely run off 12VD. If you want to be able to charge (easily) at your house I would recommend a DC power supply.
