what are the main diffrences between G3 and G3.5 I heard that G4 was mainly a graphics update and I know my laptop wont be able to handle it I ran a borrowed copy of G3.5 last year and it was OK but I had to adjust alot of stuff to get it to run decent will G3 be any better?

G 3.5 is downloadable, free upgrade to RF G3. As in, if you have G3, you'll want to upgrade to 3.5 for sure.
3.5 adds night flying and various other updates. I don't think there any graphics engine changes between G3 and 3.5 so it should run equally well (or equally bad) on your laptop as G3 does.
G4 is a whole different story. It's very nice looking, but the system requirements are insane. Unless you have an AlienWare or similar notebook, I'd forget about G4...
