Hello Gang,

I'm in the process of putting together an OS Hyper (repair). and ran into a problem of getting my cylinder to fit back into the engine, it would go in, but only 1 1/.8' into the case. I was thinking wet sanding or buffing the inside of the engine case to I can slide the cylinder inside the motor case.... I know, newbie brains at work.

But my simply reheating the motor case. Not hot, but mild heat, I was able to re-expand the motor case and easily slide the new cylinder inside.
And by leaving the cylinder inside the motor case until it cooled down, I'm re-formed the case, so it easy to take the cylinder in and out..

Thought, I'd share my newbie excitement.

Glad to see that you did not sand or buff anything.
It is supposed to be a tight fit.
Your solution of lightly heating the case to slide in the cylinder was a very good solution.
Make sure that all of the parts are lightly oiled before you start the engine.

I flew the engine today :glasses2: :glasses2: with new boca bearings top and bottom it flew like a hyper. I must admit, I was nervous, thinking that it might explode
