Hi Guys,
First up I received a 6003D v bar as a Christmas present, and while it took a while to get all the associated parts ect and reading alot of info on these pages (Thanks)I finally got it up and running. Below is my setup: Had about 6 flights in total now with this setup and it seems to be going quite well.
Model: Logo 600 3D
Servos: Futaba BL451 tail Futaba BL251
Rx: Ar7000
600mm Vblade mains 95mm Vtails
Flight style: 3D
RTF Weight: 3kg
Motor and Pinion: ZPower Z50-800 and 13t pinion
ESC Jazz 55-10-32 @ 85% governor
Lipo: PolyQuest 25 10S 3700
Length of flight: 5 mins
Pitch +/-12deg
Headspeed: 2200 on 10S 85%
Motor Temp "average or on landing": 50 °C (98°F)
Lipo Temp "average or on landing": 46°C (114°F)
MAH put back into pack after flight: 2900mAh
I loaded the 6003D basic settings that come on the CD with your Vbar kit, these are a great start and have helped me to understand a bit more about what some of the things do. As a tip to everyone dont be scared on your first flight if you are mechanically setup correctly they are pretty easy to fly :) One thing I did find was that I used the tail servo trim in the Vstabi menu to get the tail servo horn at exactly 90deg but I found when I flew that it was drifting due to the trim I placed, made it 0 then reset the limits and it has been fine ever since
Initially there was to much tail compensation so I lowered this to 8 on cyclic and 7 on collective and it has solved this problem. I think I will have to increase this again as I get more aggressive with this helicopter. I have also increased the cyclic and aileron speeds to 5 to get it to move fast and a small setting of 5 makes a noticeable difference over 0
Now in my last few packs I have started to push it a bit more. It is handling everything quite well but while doing tic tocks it has had a tendency to wobble after applying a hard stop. To explain this wobble it looks although I am doing a bit of a crack move on the elevator cyclic at the end of each stop. I have tried fiddling with the elevator stop behaviour setting going both ways +/-10 but have not been able to stop this, which way do you think i should go (keeps turning) or (strikes back)?
On another note I have seen a few of Daniels J's Vstabi files floating around. anyone know where to get his most recent as I would like to download it and try it out on my heli and look at the diffrent settings he has to compare.
Thanks
Aidan
