I did the tail mod to my little 200, made a difference for the better, alot less kick back.
I still think that the little heli needs larger tail blades
by kickback, you mean rotation when doing full pitch up? Yes, it needs either larger tail blades or more pitch range, mine does not kick out on full pitch up, but I have a custom tail slider that lets me get lots more pitch in one direction.

Robl, can you show me the slider that you have on yours??
hopefully you can see it now
here is a pic of the slider I have on mine, I don't have any of the other metal parts, just the slider, the problem is, the guy making them stopped making them. With this slider, I can get way more pitch towards the tail box which is what is needed. You just need the blades to be basically at 0 pitch going away from the box becasue the heli wants to spin in that direction anyway. I tried it witht he stock pitch slider and the links kept popping off the tail grips.

And the binding I am talking about if you look at Robs Picture, when the slider goes to the right the slider's ball cocks and it gets tight in the pitch arm making the slider bind on the tailshaft. Other words; the slider does not slide freely across the tailshaft, when it gets close to the hub assembly.
When the heli spins on full collective, try more headspead.
Try a 3 cell pack, you be amazed.

Regarding the tail mod, I would be very carefull how much weight you add.
With the 1.4mm screw that hold the grips to the rotors feathering shaft, either the screw will strip or snap from the blade grips feathering shaft if you go over a certain RPM.

I do not think the tail mod will do much. The problem with this thing are the tail blades are too short and tail shaft cannot get enough throw.
I've been meaning to try 3s, but 3s has a tendancy to have more static, so that brings its own issues with it.
however this helicopter is about to go in the trash if I can't get a decent tail setup that isn't going to cost 100 bucks a pop. My slider now is good, but its not replacable anymore. If anything happens to it, I might as well throw the helicopter out. I tried with the stock slider and brandnew links would pop off the tail slider with the slightest bump.
So, tap down slightly hard, go back up and have a nice crash, or better yet, send someone to the hospital because the tail went crazy.

I'll give you $100 for it :YeaBaby:
seriously, I really don't know what to do. all I ask is for a decent setup that will hold the tail and not be sloppy that doesn't cost a fortune.
Maybe I'm asking too much.

What gyro and servo do you have on the tail?
are you asking me? I have a gy401 and futaba 3153 servo at the moment. The tail is decent now. But I really can't see investing in a heli that has a decent tail only by using a piece that is no longer made :( I'm sure something will come along soon. Just sucks waiting.

Wow, if anyone happened to read my reply and wondered what the heck I was talking about, well somehow I posted in the wrong thread. That was weird.

Yeah I bought the all cnc tail upgrade and it was great while it lasted.
I locktited the screw that holds the slider pitch arm, but it didn't matter, I threw the screw off in flight after a few hours of flight time and lost the arm and screw, probably flew a half mile away :YeaBaby:.
My Gaui 200 is grounded for awhile. I love the heli, but I've thrown way too much money at this thing. It's just too little to survive very long, even with no crashes, the high cycle fatigue is just too much.
