hey guys! Just wondering... I noticed that they now offer these spindle sleeves and what seems to be rubber dampners for the head?? What exactly is the purpose of this upgrade? Doesn't the spindle simply float in between the rubber head dampners?
Anways... don't know anyone that is using them or know what they're for. Just thought I"d ask. thanks!

Because some people are complaining that the stock dampeners are too soft (me included:)), this sleeve help stiffen up the dampeners and make the flight characteristic more "crisps".

Hey Kevin.. thanks for the info. I was reading about your o-ring fix along with some others like the fuel tubing on the spindle, etc. Do you feel that this sleeve is a "better" fix or would you suggest just going with the o-rings?

I haven't tried the sleeve myself yet, but if it stiffens the head up like the o-ring then I would use it. Mean time my o-ring is working great. Also K&B is coming out with there version, so there will be more choices to choose from.

You know I did the fuel tubing mod in my 500 head and didn't realize that I had done it. Up until then, I had noticed no slop in the head that other had been complaining about. I recommend cutting about a quarter of an inch x 2 in the middle of the spindle (the smaller length helps in the installation). Then you just work them in in a twisting motion with the spindle onto the head. It's a tight fit but really helps. You can do this until Align's sleeve is more readily available.
