Just finished my Logo 600 and wanted to start a little thread about my setup and some pictures, with some videos to follow soon. I have never owned a Mikado helicopter before but have been flying a flybarless T-rex 600 for a while now so I am familiar with the flybarless "feel". Although I know I cannot really compare the two. The first thing I noticed was how quiet the machine was. The next was how connected I felt with the heli and how predictable the heli tracked through flight. Superb. Next I wanted to see how well the tail held with a belt design that has proven somewhat flawed on other machines. Not this one. I ran the belt about halfway tight and never experienced the tail slipping while specifically testing the tail left to right and pushing the hard right piros. No slipping. Moved into some backwards hurricanes then funnels and the tail never let go. Very impressed at this point. Tic tocs were great and I was just very satisfied with the machine overall and will be selling other helis to get another Logo 500 or 600. Straight up!

My setup is:

Logo 600 3D
V-Bar
Actro 24-4
18t pinion
HV 85
Duralite 6v Reg.
FP 1345 RX pack
JR 8717's
9256 tail
Radix 600's and 95's
FP Evo 20, 10s 3700

Excellent! Thanks for the photos and setup info!

I look forward to seeing this bird fly! (although I can't make it the next three weekends, dangit!)

Nice, yea it is hard to tell the t-rex 600 club about a Logo as they do not understand. Flybared or flybarless they really are a different feel all together, very light feeling in the air and very accurate. Something you can not feel with a 600 t-rex, not imho of course.

After building a Mikado ship I do not want to fly anything else. I pay for my kits, I'm not sponsored by Mikado and I choose to give them my business.

I recently picked up an old friend, the Logo 10. Just finished giving her a new hair cut, a retro makeover of sorts.;) It's been a long time since I flew a 10, now with some new technology she looks real sexy.

Oh... BTW... if the AR7000 rx handles 8.4 volts you shouls really consider running the Spektrum Dual Voltage regulator to get 8.4 to those 8717s, it will even come alive more! ;)

Yeah, I think Im going to build up another L-600. I'm pretty sure the Spektrum AR7000 can handle 8.4v. I may go to 8.4 but I was wondering how you guys are setting up a switch or just plugging the battery in and out?

I added a video to Youtube but my friend that recorded it is not a pilot and not familiar with the movement so not really the best quality but still fun. About the 8th flight on the machine and tweaking settings still. Please tell me how you like my video.

I just made a plug using 18 gage wire, micro deans and then normal batt input into open channel of rx. The spektrum regulator for the tr stepdown as well as esc line goes through it as well to only have 5.2 volts to tr and esc lead.
