I posted this over on rcgroups on the thread I usually hangout on so i will post it here as well

I have not flew this yet but things do look promising.
I will answer questions the best I can, but until I fly it I won't know for sure about how it flies
I got an easy +12 to -12 pitch and no binding at the extremes of cyclic at full positive to negative pitch
it looks promising but the weather here is not condusive to flying it yet

well I got one flight in yesterday, and the responsiveness of the head is greatly increased to me. I bogged my scorpion motor for the first time. so this upgrade is gonna make me increase my collective management.
still got along way to go on testing this setup but things are looking very promising. but all of this coming from a mediocre pilot by no way am I a 3d pilot. but I got no binding of the linkages or parts in all the ground testing I did

Nice job. All that gain in pitch I hope the main gear holds up for ya.

My thoughts exactly!
Everytime I go above 9.5' collective I (with my poor collective management) strip gears, am eagerly awaiting the RV frame with newer larger main gear.

with the release of the new main gear. I think this good heli will become great with a few mods along the way.

I keep seeing stripped gear issues and I don't quite understand it. I run over 1000W peaks all the time through my 21T/94T gear trane. I've run as high as 3000 RPM and 1300W. I have +/-14 (OK...I usually keep it to +/-12 or 13) degrees on my custom head. I get performance as good if not better than the Trex500. And...I have never stripped a gear...not once. Strange.

warmed up on the first graph and let it rip on second graph. can't get over how much collective pop there is on this heli now with the trex head. flip and roll rate greatly increased.
