Been hunting around for a step down for my new 600, im running lipo with duralite 6v regulator. Obviously i need a tail servo step down, all i can find is a 5.3v step down, the futaba brushless 251 tail servo is rated at 4.8v. They keep telling me in the shop that a full battery pack is more than 5.3v and so it wont hurt the tail servo.
Is this true or is it going to damage my new servo:confused:

Cheers:thumbup:

This topic is nearly beaten to death.

Your hobby shop is right, a 4.8 V fully charged battery is 5.3V as well(at least a fresh high quality pack is :) ).

I've run several tailservo's on 5.3V regulated and have a bls251 in my evo50 EX purring as a kitten ;)
