After every session I remove the main rotor blades and rotate the spindle shaft to check for straightness and it seems like every time I pull a loop my spindle shaft gets bent. Then you get vibration and a unsteady hover. I don't know what to do other than don't put any pressure on my main blades when flying. I read allot of posts about unresolved vibrations and I think this could be a big part of the problem and you don't have to crash your heli to develope this issue. Tell me if I'm wrong but I have been replacing the spindle shaft with the Super Strong HDX450-S03 replacement shafts and no difference. Is that why Align 450V2's have a 4mm spindle shaft?

I would just like to say the same problem has happened with my HDX 450 as well. After what seemed to be just normal practice hovering on about 10 battery packs I got a bad vibration after spooling down on the last flight. My rotor head seems to be in balance and so are the blades. I am thinking of getting some spindles made at a machine shop out of some better material.

Keep it in the Air!

I took out the spacer behind the blade grips and stuck large diameter washers in between like an Axe CP head setup. Grinded a tiny bit off (maybe 0.40 depending on your washer thickness) the new spindle shaft to fit (with a loose feel no binding) and lubed the washers. I took it out for a test pulling hard loops at almost full collective. Checked the spindle and it's perfect. Good enough for now. I just don't know if I'm getting any binding on collective but the heli seemed to be smooth.

I just use the align ones.
