Just to maybe help guys who are not totally sure what this Gaui tail problem is, I would call it a Flutter! a Wag would be more of a gyro problem, this Flutter IS NOT continual, and may only last 1 second, it is more RPM related. and if you get a tail Flutter on spool up or spool down you have a belt tension problem, if you have it more often or in flight you could have a cracked Plastic tail case. A cracked tail case will not be noticable visually!!!!! I never had a crash with mine and I got this flutter a few months ago, it kept getting worse and worse. Finally it was not flyable. I found the tail case was cracked, I only found this by accident when I put pressure on the tail shaft, i could get about 1/2 inch of wiggle from it, then I noticed the whole case moved, and then the crack was found! I believe since I let mine go for a few months the strain caused by the flutter busted my case, Your heli should spool up and down very smoothly with no tail Flutter. if you get a Flutter, either tighten or loosen the belt. Obviously you will get a Shake on first spool up untill the blades get spun up and centered, this is normal, but once you get them up to speed, spool down and up again, it should now be smooth!
if you have this flutter you can easily get it to stop by raising or lowering your RPM, mine did it just under 1/2 stick, so I just went quickly from 1/4 to just over 1/2 to avoid it, if I sat at just under 1/2 stick it would shake violently till I moved past that RPM, again this is normally seen on the ground not in the air, although for a beginer or new flyer It could happen in the air if you are flying with too low a throttle curve. make note of when this happens, most likely it will be someplace around the 1/2 throttle mark! if you raise your curve and it stops then Yep you do have a belt tension problem, if it does it at any throttle position it is likely something else.

Also guys I really believe their will be NO universal belt tension, because what is happening here is most likey we are getting resonece starting from our motor going thru the tail, My tail belt needs to be loose, with the Gaui 50 esc and H/18 motor, plastic frame. When I discussed this issue a few months ago with guys running the align esc and 1500w motor they needed a tight belt. so this is a trial and error on the tension!

I tried a loose belt as well, but no success, still searching...
