Newbe trying to get ccpm set.

As stated above, the servo's don't move at the same time. The time difference is minimial on two but the pitch servo is about .25sec or more out of sync. Is this something that can be fixed in the radio or do I have to jack with the servo internally?

Using the Spektrum 4.8 v battery pack for setup right now if that makes a difference.

Setup is T-Rex 600; DX 7; ds821's; GY 401 gyro; 600L motor; RCE-BL75G-

Can you give us a little more info, servo direction norm/rev, and CCPM percentages including + or -, and make sure your RX pack is fully charged

CCPM- I'm new to Heli for the most part so if I understand correctly the screen you're referring to is the Swash mix. if so swash mix is Ail -60; Elev+ 60; Pit -60; Exp. inh.
I'm charging the pack now and will retry tomorrow.
Elev- Rev
Pitch- Rev
all others norm

Sub trim 0 for all
travel adjust is 100% for all
throtle and pitch curves need to be adjusted

(probably need to re-watch the ccpm from finless)

am I correct to say that the swash mix fixes the timing of the servos?

you are doing fine so far, the mix values you have are the stock setting 60% across the board which is fine to start with, usualy I turn the CCPM off to set the servo direction, its easier to get the correct direction when they move alone, this way when you turn on the CCPM its just a matter of getting the correct + or - value on your mixes. My servo set up is, looking at the nose, pitch on the left, and aileron, elevator, and rudder on the right, you can swap the pitch and aileron if you like, just remember to use the same set up on all your helis, it makes field adjustments that much easier. Its important to do these two steps first before you set you servo arms, or your centers will be differant if you have to reverse a servo or a mix value. Now make sure your hold switch is off and set the PLN to 50% and set your horns. The best manual for the T-Rex 450 is the 450 SA manual, you can go to the Horizon web site and look up the PDF for that manual, it gives you step bye step instructions for set up with a Spektrum radio.

Thanks for the info. For starters I'll have to remember to use a good battery to start with, but before that I need to remember to have the servo's plugged into the correct channel. Once all that was fixed the all went well.
Now I've got to go back and check the head for 90's @ 0 and set up my 401. Oh, and look for CCPM interaction...still having problems understanding that.

Soon, with any luck I'll be able to take it out, crash it and start the whole process over again. Gee isn't being a newbe fun. LoL

BTW: I think I just got a neighbor into RC Heli's- I was out front getting the 450 trimmed/setup and a car passed; slowed as they often do, then turned around stops and the driver gets out. This guy was amazed. Ends up he's a local helicopter pilot, takes people on tours, fly's pipeline etc., and had now idea that these things existed (to this complexity). Sure he knew of the little airhogs and maybe a FP, but nothing like the CP of a T-REX 450. On bad weather day's they want something to do in the hanger. So I pointed him to a couple sites, mentioned a few different models. Maybe he'll show up here.

Thanks for the help...I'll keep ya'll posted on my progress.

Once you get it working properly, you will use the percentage settings to control the the pitch and the cyclic, as a newbie you will set your pitch for + or - 10deg. and your cyclic at + or - 7deg. Just adjust your pitch percentage CP6 to get the right pitch setting, than put the main blades parallel to the tail boom, put the pitch gauge on the flat paddle, set the pitch at 0deg. or mid stick, move the elevator and adjust the percentage of CP3 to achieve + or - 7deg, the pecentage you get for elevator will be the same setting to use for aileron CP2. If the cyclic seems to radical, tone it down by using D/R, dual rate, simply reduce the percentage from 100% to 85%, for both elevator and aileron, its also a good idea to cut down the stick sensitivity with EXPO, 0% is full sensitivity, and with eCCPM you dont want to exceed 25%. These are useful tools to increase your flying ability, try some differant settings to see what makes you comportable.:hammer
