Im going for a new charger, the Bantam BC8 or the Hyperion 0610i Dual, I like the idea of the dual because of the separate charging ports, this would save a hell of a lot of time waiting for packs to charge.

Can anyone tell me if this 0610i dual charger is capable of charging my lipo packs at more than 1C? I see the BC-8 Bantam charger has a fast charge mode for LiPo, but I've read on a forum somewhere the Hyperion chargers cant charge lipo above 1c, also they dont have charge setting memories, But! for the Duo charger it seems different if i'm not mistaken, 10 memories and up to 2C lipo charging.

Note: the Charger shows both pack voltage and the number of cells in Series (S) on this screen, matching the Voltage and Battery Type you have selected. If the “S” and the Voltage don’t match your battery, you have the Wrong Battery Type selected (like confusing LiIon 3.6v with LiPo 3.7v types). Use UP key to reach BATT TYPE again, and reset BATT TYPE properly.
Press DOWN to get to BATT CAPACITY; press ENTER to make the mAh value flash and adjust with the UP or DOWN buttons until it matches your battery, by increments of 100mAh (to max of 20,000mAh). Press ENTER to confirm. If your battery is 730mAh, for example, you could set this to 700mAh. The default CHARGE RATE (set in next screen) for lithium is 1C of capacity (equal to 0.7A for a 700mAh setting). But RATE is adjustable independently up to 2C for lithium, so the BATT CAPACITY setting mainly provides additional safety; the charger will terminate charge whenever charged-in capacity exceeds 120% of your BATT CAPACITY setting.
Press DOWN to get to CHG CURRENT. This is limited to 2C with respect to the battery capacity for Lithium Polymer (LiPo 3.7v/cell types) and Lithium Ion (LiIon 3.6v/cell types). CAUTION! For other cell types, there is no restriction, up to the 10A limit of the charger, so BE SURE you know what CHG CURRENT setting to use for your battery (see also below text on cell types).

The DUO charges at 2C and has memories. The two ports and balancers can run completely independantly or synced up. Tough to find another 380 watt charger with balancing in that price range. Definately my favorite high power charger at the moment.

We sell both, Bantam and Hyperion. The Hyperion has some limitations in comparsion to the BC-8, but like said earlier, you can't find a charger in this price range with this much power. For example, the Hyperion cannot discharge a battery. We just took back a Duo because of that missing functionality. Oh well.

It's ok re: the discharging, I like to discharge my batts in my helis, it seems to be more fun that way, hehe ;) The bantam cant balance charge 2x 6s batteries at the same time, so that was the clincher for me, Once I found it has memories and 2c charging the deal was more or less done.
