Hi guys,
I'm about to buy a JR9303 but since I'm new in the heli world I thought I would ask for advice. I "was" going to buy this transmitter from my LHS but I did a search online and found on ebay two prices (see links below). I don't really understand the differences it seems like the most expensive comes with the receiver and no more differences. Could you please take a look and provide some suggestions? I would be using it with my T-Rex 500, which I will buy (if things go well) tomorrow at my LHS. I also need to know what are the best servos to use and what receiver would be best to use with this radio and heli. I'm new at this hobby but I would rather invest money now than buying a cheap one now and then buy another better receiver and servos later. FYI, by "not cheap", I mean maybe 30% more and not 3 times more the price of a cheap one. Thanks in advance! :noteworthy

I'm a noob too but aside from the reciever it also looks like the second one is the airplane version with a ratcheted throttle. You don't want that one for a Heli... make sure you get the Heli version without the ratcheted throttle.

While saving money is nice, I buy from HF advertisers. They have all been vetted as good vendors who will not cause you problems. And if you have a problem, they will work with you to get it sorted out and in the air.

I bought mine from RC Hover, they had them in stock and Jermey gave me a bit off of you rsecond posted price.

I have bought from Nitro RC Hobbies, but that was before I knew better. :)

The second one comes with a receiver. Is that a good receiver? I still don't know what servos are good for my TREX500. I just checked RF hover and they have a 726.00 with 4 servors but I'm not sure if those servors would be the best choice for my heli.... so many questions..

For a 450, no the included servos won't work.

You could use a R921 on a 450, but you can also sell it for about $140 - $150. Most people run a AR6100E on 450s.

Call RC Hover and see if Jeremy will put together a package for you.

X9303 + AR6100E.
