View Full Version : best way to discharge for storage?

I have a handful of 2S batteries for my HBFP, all charged up.

I snapped the frame of that heli in half, and have a new trex, so I'm unlikely to get around to using those batteries for a while.

I own a cellpro 4s charger, which has "50% storage mode", but I was a little surprised that it won't discharge to reach 50%, it just declares "charging complete."

Short of building up a backup HB FP, which I can do I guess, is there an easy way to bleed these babies down with minimal risk of overdischarging?

thx

Best is to fly them. But you can use a non-ipo charger that discharges, then charge to storage level with the Cell Pro.

Or use a bank of auto tail light bulbs. Just don't forget them.

This is a good option for 2S and 3S:

There's a US source as well:

and here's a long discussion on them:
