i am fairly new to helis(about 1 year). i just got my DX7 setup on my King2 but still not doing any 3D(and probably won't for a while).
i have built my 600 pro and just ordered all my electronics and was hoping someone could help me out with some baseline settings to get it in the air and broken in and i can adjust from there.
here is a list of my electronics if that makes a difference
1. 9452 x3
2. 3151 throttle
3. 7703D/8900g w/ stepdown
4. AR7000
5. Align gov
6. Align 2 in 1

and one more question....i don't understand the whole headspeed thing. how do i set it(gov?). is there a way to estimate 1800-1900 without a meter?

any help would be greatly appreciated. i am getting electronics in this week so i hope to have it in the air in about 2 weeks. thanks again!

All the baseline settings are in the Align manual. If that doesnt work go to finless set up for the Dx7 and Trex.

The Align governor requires that the RPM settings be configured via the ATVs on the channel on your radio devoted to the governor. There a chart in the manual that equates ATV to RPM. You definitely won't get very precise RPM selection that way, so you might want to get a tachometer.

Governors such as the GV-1 and Multigov have digital readouts which allow you to precisely set the RPM. The Multigov and, I assume, the GV-1 can be configured so that a switch in the TX will select between two or three RPM settings on-the-fly. A common way to do this is to assign different RPM settings to different flight modes, selectable via the flight mode switch.

Ok, I run the align gov and love it. I have 3 HS's set on my flight mode switch on my DX7.

The base setup will depend a lot on you initial mechanical setup.

Follow Finless's instructions on setting the head up mechanically first. For idle 1, 2 and hold pitch curves set them linear 0 25 50 75 100. Then with your Normal pitch curve adjust the low stick point for -3 degrees and point 2 in between point 1 and the 50 value of point 3 that way still maintaining the 0 degrees at midstick.

Then you can set the align gov using this thread http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=49362&highlight=align+gov+installed

Thanks
