I have 401 gyro's in both of my 200s. The Piro rate is just insanely fast if I go fulll stick. Is there a way to slow this down without sacraficing thge holding power of the gyro?
Seriously, if I bang the stick full left or right I can barely keep up with the orientration of the heli, it's like a blur while flying. Maybe not to the onlooker but when my heart is pounding and the thing is spinning its pretty scarry.

Lowering the rudder travel adjustment will slow your piro rate without effecting anything else
hmm, I had the opposite problem, it was too slow, so I increased the rudder travel.

Just to be sure, lowering the travel will not decrease the speed the gyro compensates in HH mode?
no, it shouldn't, but if you are worreid, just compensate for the fast piro rate by not moving the stick so far when you piro :)

I like the fast piro rate. What I dont like is when I panic and slam the stick resulting in a crash :arggg:

The ATV will simply adjust how much rudder blade angle is given for a given rudder input. The HH ability will remain the same.

One more question just to be sure. If I understand this right limiting the travel will only affect the rudder input travel but will not affect the travel for HH mode? I ask because the Gaui needs all the angle it can get to keep the tail from kicking out with hard collective.

That is correct. The 401 uses the end points to figure out how much authority to give the tail rotor for a given amount of rudder input. That's the reason the 401 has a separate end point trim pot on it as the rudder end points are now used for piro rate.
The 401 will still command as much rudder as is required to hold the head for you.

Thanks man !! I'll see if I can get it right. I always adjust the travel on the 401 but havent on the TX.
