Hey just a reminder. With the new quick connect be sure to cycle your transmitter between flights so you won't get a flashing led on the next battery.

Why?
The flashing LED is an Rx function only.
And the big thing will be hooking up the pack without making a couple of quick touches, and having every flight with blinking LEDs.

where are the other posts, because I searched for 20 min and this is all I've found so far. I need to send back an ar7000 for the quick connect feature and it has a flakey remote rx on which the led goes out if you tap it sometimes. Not good...

thanks Terry, I guess I was looking for a specific thread that discussed the process for sending them back, which I'm still not seeing. Maybe it was on RCG.

If your receiver is missing one or both of these features, first off, it's important to recognize that the vast majority of flyers using "normal" servos with "normal" properly charged batteries will be unaffected by low-voltage issues.
However, if you're using numerous high-performance servos and wish to have your receiver system modified, simply return it to Horizon for free upgrading. Please return your receiver and all remotes, as all components must have the upgraded software for the new features to function. The best fix, however, remains assuring adequate power supply to the airborne system with sufficient voltage headroom.
Your flying success is of paramount importance to Spektrum as the leaders in spread spectrum technology, we're constantly moving the bar upward. Also, whenever you have questions regarding your Spektrum equipment, please feel free to contact our Product Support Team at 877 504-0233.

Put in package, mail to Horizon. Any questions? :)
Actually it is that easy, just include a letter telling them you want the firmware upgrade for Quick Connect and where to send them back. Their form askes for CC info to tpay for return shipping, but I don't think I have been charged as all mine are under warranty.

Thanks David, thorough as usual :) Just add "Horizon Service" on the first line of the address, though I'm sure it'll still get where it needs to go without that detail.
Terry, Yea the tech I spoke with (Matt) didn't even ask when I purchased it or whether I had a receipt... Just need to tell them what you want done and supply a return address obviously :) I'll get mine in the mail today or tomorrow.
