I was checking out the heli with the blades off to see how smooth and ballanced everything was and kept hearing a odd noise. Upon inspection I noticed that the starter socket was also spinning at idle and alos when the main rotor was spinning. At idle with the starter scoket spinning I put my finger on it and with almost no pressure at all it stoped so it's not locked up in the starter one way bearing. My question is does anyone else have this problem and if so what's the fix. There's no binding at all and everything is loose. I just don't like the noise it makes almost like a vibration noise but with the actual vibration you might think you would feel when you hear this. This is a new heli and every thing is ligned up and there is no binding or glitchy bearings. My tRex 600N dosn't do this and I'm sure the Raptor shouldn't do it as well.
Any ideas?:dontknow

It's not a problem unless you can't stop it with your finger. Since you can, you R90 is displaying normal operation. There is always a little bearing drag on the starter shaft (the one attached to the hex not the one attached to your starter) which causes the shaft to turn.

I would NOT run your engine unloaded, this is very bad.
If you can easily hear the sound I think you misaligned the clutch to the clutchbell. Then the bearing in the clutch would be toast.

Yes reving the engine "unloaded" is not wise. but I only took off the main blades and ran it just untill the clutch kicked in. Hardly any worry there. As I stated in the original post everything is aligned and I'm very aware on how the clutch and starter shaft must align up. I think that I was hearing noise due to the fact that it's a new build and as I have put a few tanks of fuel through it, It's getting less noisy so I think I'm OK with everything. And yes as everyone has stated it's a very stable machine!
Thanks.
