I just bought a RCE-B6X voltage regulator. The problemis that the output voltage is 5.8 Volt. But my servo's are only rated at 4.8V (didn't know about this, still newbie). With the RCE-B6X I got an Align 5.1v Step Down Voltage regulator (was in the same package). It has a sticker on it that says 5.1V regulated. The manual says I should connect this in-line to the tail servo if my tail servo cannot handle 6v. My question is, can I use this in-line to power my Rx and all 5 my servo's, including the gyro ?

In other words, can I connect the RCE-B6X 5.8v output to this 5.1v step down regulator and then connect this to my Rx, giving 5.1v to the Rx and thus to all 5 my analog servo's and gyro (CSM180) ?

The quick answer is yes you can if it's the new 2-way step-down (2 diodes under red shrink wrap) that now comes w/ the B6X. The older 1-way step-down (1 diode under black shrink wrap) cannot be used in this fashion however.

Just FYI, many 4.8V rated servos can be used safely on a 5.8V regulated system, at least the cyclic servos can. Have a listen to this podcast that Finless made for an explanation:
