Stock Gyro Setting?

Just wondering what everyone has the stock E-flight gyro set at??? And what difference it makes on the flight performance???

63% w/ DSP75 servo in tail rotor mode, ball in 3rd hole on servo arm.

The "stock" gain(s) were 66% and 64.5%.

I had trouble with the stock servo until I discovered this. Turn up the gain on the gyro itself to 100%, then stock values on the tx, or thereabouts will be greatly improved.

I wasn't even going into heading hold my first flights, the light on the gyro must be steady on.

I know it says in the manual that setting gain on the tx negates the need to adjust on the gyro, but contrary to that, make sure you gyro led is solid on and adjust on the gyro to 100%.

I'm guessing alot of the problems people are having is that if your gyro came set to 50% as mine did, then at 65% on the tx, you are probably at something like 32.5% gain which is rate mode. (0.65x0.50=0.325)

That's my guess anyhow.

So, tommy, where are you getting your information about these settings?

Or are they just your best guess??

gain setting is
0-50 rate mode
50-100 Heading hold mode
for any gyro set it as high as u can with no tail ossilation

My actual testing. Can't point you right to it, but others are confirming similar results over at RC Groups. I replied to a thread about it, so a search on my name will turn it up. Same name as on here.

The gist of it is that a setting on the gyro anywhere in the middle is the worst, mine came at 50% on the gyro itself from the factory.

I'm going to try some other settings that the poster on RCG recommended, and I'll report back.

all subtrim, trim 0
end point adj 100 in gyro and 100 in rudd

iv herd of the g110 going bad but replaced mine before i could find out
