I was born and raised in Burton, Michigan right next to Flint (literaly) I later moved to South Haven for 7 years before migrating to Chicago. All my Family is around Flint and I go there several times a year. I know where Brighton is

I can't remember what diameter the blade CPP main shaft is but Rstacy mentioned in another post that he doesn't like the angle the belt exits the tail boom onto the hear. It would apear the main gear sits too low. So I was wondering if a spacer and a small collar would do the trick to get the main gear inline with the belt.

I don't know what heli you have or maybe I just have a defective frame, but on mine, the main gear barely fits in the opening, and thats after loosening the screws ont he frame and making sure both frame halves were as far apart as possible :) I definately don't have room for a piece of dirt, let alone a space between my main gear and frame.

Robl: Do you have pics of your heli? I didn't have time last night to try the CPP collar and a spacer. Maybe tonight I'll get time to try it. You have a Gaui 200 right?

yep, hurricane 200. I can barely get the gear in between the frame with the collar that goeson top of the main gear. I don't see having any extra space.

I see what you mean. Thats the reason I got the CPP collar. It's smaller (not as tall) as the stock Gaui. So I was hoping I could put spacer under the main gear the same height as the stock collar vs. the CPP collar delta. So you'd have the same amount of room as you do now only the belt would line up with the gear better. It's just a theory. Here's a couple quick examples. No they are not to scale it's just for example

I will have to check mine, but I don't think it seems that far off in lining up with the belt.

All three of mine are rubbing on the belt guides both on the pulleys and the main gear.

I have never noticed anything wrong with the belt alignment on mine, comes out of the tail boom nice and evenly, straight and level to the main gear.

When did you get yours? I wonder if there was a mold change or something? I did notice that the (s) collars and the (L) collars are the same dang thing. The packs I have are identical. Guess Gaui got a little careless packaging the parts.

I didn't use the CPP collar I went to Al's my LHS and got the MicroHeli hardended mainshaft for the CPP. It had a small collar about half the size of the Gaui and two spacers. I put the small collar and the collar on top of the gear and one spacer below the gear. Lines up perfect now. I'll post a pic soon for those of you with the same alignment problem.

my small and large collars that I got from Readyheli like a month or two ago are definately different sizes. I just checked my heli and the belt is pretty straight. Slopes down slightly coming to the main gear but this main gear has probably seen better days. I'm still confused as to the issue on the belt alignment.

Well I'm gonna get a hold of rediheli and ask about the collars I got. There the same in every way. Guess I'll have to order more
