Hi Guys,

I am finally getting to grips with my 600 Pro build, and have run into a slight problem (or not).

I built the mechanicals up, and then decided to fit an anodised red boom - yes, only because it looks cool :-)

Anyway, I removed the old boom, and replaced with the new one, and now I have a slight rub between bottom of the top main gear and the top of the horizontal tail drive gear (sorry if these desriptions are not accurate)

The main gear has a very slight wobble (similar to my 450SE V2), and at the lowest part during a rotation, It very slightly rubs on the horizontal tail drive.

Any suggestions would be appreciated if this is a problem.

Thanks
Darren

Just by replacing the tail boom you shouldn't have changed the geometry of the tail drive gears.

Make sure you have the boom block tabs properly located in the slots in the frame. There is a little bit of movement when the securing screws are backed out a little bit.

Shouldn't you be able to just loosen the set screws on the main shaft collar, pull the main shaft up a bit, drop the collar down and tighten it? At least you can check for any play.

Thanks guys.

I have already loosened the collar, pulled the main shaft up, and then re-tightened, and the problem is still there.

I am thinking this may have something to do with the boom position in the frame. All the locating tabs are in the correct place, so I cannot see there being much (if any) adjustment possible.

What I do not understand, Is that (as far as I can remember) there was absolutely no interference when the original boom was installed !

Any ideas please.

Thanks
