Repairing stripped threads

Does anyone have any suggestions on repairing the stripped threads on my muffler? One of the main bolt holes stripped, and I'd rather not have to buy a replacement.

Rather than try to repair the muffler, I found that a nut fit nicely without having to grind down the muffler. I feel glad not to need to purchase a new muffler.
