This should be easy. What's the difference between travel adjust and sub-trim on the Gear channel? One is the gain; is the other one used?

Assuming you're talking with regards to gyro operations....

subtrim is not used. Not sure WTH it'd do anyways. ATV/Endpoints are used to set the gain and mode, either rate or heading hold.

Endpoints on the rudder channel set piro rate.

Well on any channel. Subtrim sets the neutral position, and travel adjusts set, well, the how far the servo travels (max travel).

Right, and when the channel is connected to a switch, the positions on the switch match the endpoints of the channel and, if it's a 3-position switch, the center point. So, subtrim could actually affect the center position on a 3-position switch.
