Hi all
Just got a 6EXHP I ordered mode 2 but they shipped mode 1. I can change the "software" to mode 2 but the sticks are now incorrect. The manual mentions the detent mechanism needs to be switched and says contact a service centre. Is that really neccessary has anyone done this? is it difficult?
Thanks

Hi!
I did this a few times... pretty easy... just open I think 4 screws, plug-off the the battery cable and take off the back. Than look at how the stick moves and you can imagine what should be changed. On your throttle stick you need the metal plate that is fixed with a screw, on the other side you need the spring with this plastic arm. Just move that to the other side. The spring is a little bit tricky but you may use a "tweezer". Hope that's the right word. Just try to center the stick, than hang-in the spring into the lower holder and move it up until you can hang it in to the arm which you moved from the other side too. That's all. With a little bit of practice this takes a minute :)
I think there's a description in the manual. Otherwise take a look at the 6ex manual page 5 -> http://manuals.hobbico.com/fut/6ex-2_4ghz-manual.pdf

Hi thanks for these posts, I just did the same procedure myself, from mode 1 to mode 2. very simpleas you say. 4 screws off of the back cover. one phillips screw for the ratchet and a little gentle fishing with tweezers to move the spring arm.
a big THANKYOU to all
