Hi!
I am thinking of buying a Logo 600 3D (with the flybar: i don't have that much money).
Here's the list:
-Logo 600 3D
-Spartan DS760 gyro
-Tail servo? which one?
-Cyclic servos? which ones?
-6S battery (how many mah?)
-TP charger and balancer
-Pheonix 85HV esc
-Hacker motor
-AR7000
-What else? Blades? Upgrades (worth?)?
if you want 6s i would really advise going with the Logo 500. I have just come off my lunch break, flying the 600 on 6 cells as an experiment, and although the power is great, duration is 4 minutes taking 4.5A out of a 5A pack. Flies very light too.
If you want the L600 i would go for this:
-Logo 600 3D
-Spartan DS760 gyro or JR 770
-Futaba 9256, JR 8900G or the new Futaba Brushless
-JR 8717
-10s FlightPower EVO25 4350 or EVOLITE 5350
-Kontronic Power Jazz or Jive 80HV when they are out
-Hacker Electric Turbine A50, when they are out too
-AR7000
-best blades you can get, or anything really, but make sure they are happy spinning fast
If you want the Logo 500, id say go for this:
-Logo 500 3D
-Spartan DS760 gyro or JR 770
-Futaba 9256, JR 8900G or the new Futaba Brushless
-JR 8717
-6s FlightPower EVO25 5000
-Kontronic Jazz 80-6-18
-Hacker Electric Turbine A40, when they are out, but in the mean time maybe the Hacker A40-8L-8pole
-AR7000
-SAB 550mm (#320)
Hope this helps
Ian

franky92 (http://www.helifreak.com/member.php?u=16593): What are you looking to get out of it? are you flying hard or just some mild aerobatics?
Eyon (http://www.helifreak.com/member.php?u=33116): I think the reason your 6s experiment felt so light to you is the 5350 10s packs your flying are so heavy. I have one of those and it's great for a 7-8 minute flight but you feel the weight when you go from something lighter.
Try a 10s 3300 or 3700 for 4.5- 5 minutes on the V-Stabi.

franky92,
Hi, I am thinking about buying a 600 as well. Just interested to know why did you prefer Logo600? I am aware of it's quality and performance but how is it compared with T-REX600E ? The price difference between these two helis is significant, does it really worth spending on a Logo600?
Thanks,
Mark.

As Madani said, would it be worth to buy the Logo instead of the Trex 600?
Eyon: The problem that I have is my access to funds, but I want a 600 size. What I thought would be to start with 6S (because 10S is waaayyyy too much for my student budget) and when I have the cash, spend a little more for 10S. And, would it be possible to go 10S, but under 2000$? (starting from nothing, except for radio>still need another AR7000 though, and except for tools)

One thing to remember is that the Logo500 3D can swing 560mm blades which gives it a rotor span only 3" less than a 600. A setup on 6S will give you tons of power and then keep your budget down. Also, you should look at 9452 servos for cyclic and maybe a GY401/S9254 which will also keep expenses down but you can always go up from there.
From everything I've heard, the L600 doesn't really come alive until you go 8S and above.

it would be for hovering, figure 8's and maybe loops...maybe I could wait a little bit and go on 10S...

seems enough power for me on 6S:

That would work for a while on 6S.
the issue isnt power on 6 cells, my 600 is ballistic, but it is of course duration. i can only just get 4 minutes with 90% of the pack being used, its just not practical. and remember add a flybar and reduce flying time again!
Dont get me wrong, the idea of upgrading from 6 to 10 cells is a great idea, but the cost involved isnt as simple as buying a new pack, you need a new motor, pinion and most likely a new ESC too!
Well worth just saving a little more in the short term and enjoying it more in the long run.
Oh, and until a few months ago, i was also a student, and im glad i waited a while for 10 cells, its awesome!

Ok then,
Could you make me a list of the motor/esc/battery/charger needed for 10S, and maybe the same thin for the Logo 500 3D on 6S?
check my first post dude!

I think you need to come back and tell us your budget first. As Eyon said, you will be switching motors, pinions, batteries, and chargers if you go from 6S to 10S and that is not cheap.

There is one that just got listed over on the RC Groups For Sale page. It says, brand new in unopened box $505.00 shipped. I wish I was good enough to fly one it looks like a high quality unit.

No way man! Mikado is simply the best.... I just got to get this business up on its feet or the lights are going to be turned off. I WILL be buying another Logo 6003D in a 6 months to a year. :(
If you know anyone looking for a great turn key heli tell them about mine. They won't be disapointed.
