Ok, I always said this is the 1 Heli I’d never sell…I gathered enough spares so I could do several repairs w/o having to hit the LHS. There is more than 1 complete heli in spares as well. Never say never.. I’m getting into Mini-Titans, so this one has to go!
I’ve had (parts of) this heli for about a year now. I bought my 1st T-Rex off a guy on the net… I’ve since turned it into an SA v1.5 more or less… Since I got the 1st heli, I’ve replaced everything (literally), but still have most of the parts from the replacements. I took everything off of the superframe and scattered the pieces into a spares box.
The extra frame is a Superframe STK (G-10). This was the 1st frame I had on it. While installed, the heli had a couple of minor mishaps, but never damaged (other than breaking 1 canopy mount and stripping a screw). I didn’t like it because of the servo mounting (it was a little hokey) as well as the lack of space for electronics, however, it is VERY light. It may be missing a couple of screws, but that’s it.
The current frame (450SA) has NEVER been crashed. I’ve, personally, only flown it less than 10 flights (hovering w/ mild FF). I got it used off the net and it had never been crashed when I got it (a lot of people say that, and I generally don’t believe it, as a fully repaired heli can easily look like new). I doubted it had never been crashed, but when I got it, I was amazed. It’s set up to the point now, where you can put your receiver, gyro, and tail servo in with no trim whatsoever, and she flies beautifully. All arms and linkages are at 90 degrees, blades track perfectly, gear mesh is set, etc.
I’m going to go over the heli and what’s included first, then go through the spares.
