Well I reversed my polarity to my bec yesterday and the smoke came out :( So I called CC and the tech guy would not tell me a part # for the fairchild input chip Its attached to the red input wire. Can some one please tell me their part # in it please. If your shrink is loose enough please :) Thanks guys for your help, they want me to send it back and i dont want to.

WELL if this is their policy it would be nice to know it prior to buying or waiting 24-36 hrs b4 waiting on a email that wont help me. so for all of you out there i will be posting a list of part #s and a map to replace your own parts. and I also wanted to post the spec on the part think you all with be pleastantly suprised due to the 1.2 amp gap between their spec and the part spec. Wonder why they claim 10amps when this part is only rated at 8.8 ?? guess they are trying to make profit off the 6$ REAPIRS ?? As you can see they only cost .26c to replace.

And the 10 amp rating is a peak/burst rating. Notice it is rated for only 5 amps continuous.

and its origional pkg said 7.? amps was cont. SO they wrote false #s to sell it ? So i have no use for it now and i feel riped off and if need be i will call a lawyer over it. If they can sue other for wrighting made in the usa and it wasnt, this is the same kinda bs. I have since sent 2 emails and no word back, other then we looking into a better one not will will replace urs with a new one that can handle the applications we intended you to use them in. With a 600n even if each thing uses 1 amp thats 5 dig servos+ rx gyro and gov ? so at 1 amp a pc thats 8amps it will fail

The Made in USA only applied to California. CA has different laws on marking products as Made in USA than the rest of the country.
Yeap get a lawyer and sue. That should get you about a $25 refund for the products. And the lawyer will cost you about $400 per hour. :)

in the state of pa i can get the atturney general to file against them for falsely marking the package. But why do you feel the need to go there ?? You wouldnt be ticked that they did this and you wasted 50$ on 2 of them for 2 bird and now its 2 for one heli ?

Yeap, the AGs office will gladly pursue them, spending tax dollars going after them for a few hundred (max) buyers in PA for a $25 product. :)
I have one. At this time, I don't have it in any thing that flies. But it is working fine on the bench, so when I need it, I will try it again. Mine was DOA.
I just checked my packaging (bought early last fall). IIt says:
Peak: 10 amps
Continuous:
<12 volts input = 7 amps*
<24 volts input = 5 amps*
*Ratings are determined with a 5mph airflow on the BEC. Servo connectors are not rated for current in excess of 5 amps. Users are encouraged to replace the connectors if more than 5 amp currents are anticipated.
Exactly what the web site says today. Since very few people fly an external BEC on 2S lipo, the 5 amp continuous is the proper number for 3S - 6S power. So no fraud.
