It sets pretty quick, but I would give it overnight just to be safe.

That is funny I was thinking about doing the same thing (without taking the motor apart) if I can get myself to pull the motor out sometime. It would be very interesting to see if the noise I hear when unloading the motor goes away by just doing that. I am surprised they don't locktite the shaft to the bearing at the factory. I wonder if there are reasons we don't know about why you shouldn't locktight them.

On the worn shaft could you just pinch the sides of the shaft in a vice to make a tight fit when it goes into the bearing ?
As loctite breaks down when it gets hot.

I used a hypodermic 26 GA syringe (you can buy one at a pharmacy without a prescription for about 50 cents) to apply the locktite ever so carefully around the base of the upper bearing as there is not much space to work with. A few hand turns, then a little more locktite, a few more turns, done. Very precise. (but warm the locktite so it flows easily)

Just stripped my 1515/2.5D/F and the bearings seem fine but like said the side play is between shaft and bearings.
Also noticed that the rear non flanged bearing is the exact same size has used on the old Tamiya cars for wheels and gearboxes etc and ive loads of new ones , so will just be replacing this bearing and loctiting the shafts.
I bought my motor used but im 100% it was not stripped before , it looks like the end cap was bonded with a black sealant ??
