Hi all

Just take hold of a used 3DX500 that used stock motor and with carbon blade. The owner put in APLUS 4S 3300 mah pack and its my first flight (still learning to hover) and after 6-7mins of timed flight buzzer, I still have 1700mah capacity discharged from my charger. That is like only 16-17Amp on hovering.

Obviously I can equate that to another 6 mins flight but it seems that 8-9 mins of hovering is very possible although I'm not sure if the voltage able to sustain it to 8-9 mins. I will adjust my timer to another 2 more mins. I do have a lipo check and buzzer on board for LV warning!

You must have the HS set very low.
Here is a graph of my 3DX. Using 4S4200 packs (2 x 4S 2100).

mick, well I was learning on hovering. Its my 9th flight moving from Belt CP and its my first with 3DX. Still using the original stock 24t pinion.

It is possible. Mine uses with 2300 on the head about 18 Amp on mild flying with stock gear, but I use the hyperion motor.

Hi John

Which Hyperion you are using?

I wonder if the Orbit 20-12 series will be more efficient compare to other outrunners...???

What about your side of ponds since its a german made outrunner, should be popular there no?
