50 engine in a 30?

I was wondering if it is possible to put a 50 size motor in a 30 and keep the 550's and shorter boom i have now on it. If i were to do this should i change the gearing or keep it the way it is now. And upgrade everything later to a larger boom and blades in the future. Moneys a little tight right now, and i want to at least get it up in the air now.

Stuffing a larger engine in to get more power is common. Many are stuffing 60 and 90 class into 50's. A 50 in a 30 will be fine. You will want to make sure your clutch and bell are up to a 50 engine.
