Hey Skiddzz you fly a real MD500? Awesome! Where have you been learning at?
I *have* flown an MD500E before, but it's been a couple years. I pretty much fly the Schweizer 300 and the Robinsons these days...

It's hard to say without having it in hand, but my guess is it would since the HDX450 is based on (pretty much) the T450 specs. The rotor shaft should be 3mm and probably is (same as T450). The tail rotor control arm might be different, but you can always buy one of these from Align. They're probably around $3.00 or so.
Here's a pic and thread for the completed unit.

Since this weekend is a long weekend, I may have some time to complete the 4 bladed tail for my Hughes scaler. Based on the 3 blader I completed, it shouldn't take me very long. I'm thinking that the price will be the same as the 3 blader, $100 which includes shipping. If you are in the UK or somewhere outside of North America, let me know before you pay. If it's only a few bucks more to your location I'll cover the additional cost of shipping. If it's more like $5-10. then I'm afraid I'll have to charge you extra or find a cheaper method if available.
I'll take pics and keep everyone posted.
Maybe I'll put together a quick webpage to display these and make payments easier. You can also pay by check if you want, and if you do. Send your old tail control set and I can set everything up for you before I ship (no cost). I'll also install the grips if you want.
Cheers,
Deron

Hi, I pm'ed you on this. But I want to let everyone know that I won't be making more of these. I threw a gear in my lathe and need to get it fixed. But I'm not in a big rush since I have things like flying to do. I learned that you shouldn't run an old lathe at 5500 rpm for 5-10 minutes :arggg:... I was doing that to test the assembled hubs and well.... I was surprised when I heard a BIG clunk. Looks like one of the shafts that the gear spins on broke and that gear jammed everything else up.
So no more production work for me until I get it fixed.
