Hi, I'm just getting into Helis and my new TrexE is sitting on my kitchen table...
I have a new Futaba DX7 and will be getting a 900mhz set-up for video (FPV).

What distance can a DX7 transmit up to safely. Line of sight (or actually unobstructed)

I'm wanting to be able to FPV up to 600 yards without fear of transmitter failure on either the DX7 or video link. Is this possible? I know they have patch antennas for the video Rx, but do they make (or do I need) something to extend the coverage of the DX7?

Thanks for your time!
Scott

Well first the DX7 is made by Spektrum RC. Futaba has a 7 channel 2.4ghz transmitter. It is called the 7C.

As for the operating range of the DX7. It will operate at a distance that is greater than what you can see the model to operate it.
