View Full Version : Belt riding at the bottom

If I spin the rotor head clockwise, the belt starts to go down and rub the bottom of the main drive pulley. However, if I spin it counter-clockwise, the belt starts to go back up and stays at the center of the main drive pulley. It doesn't even reach the top thus not rubbing on anything.

What adjustments can I make to keep the belt in the middle of the drive pulley?

Thanks,

Yeah I get that, lost a screw from the rollers that guide the belt to, so used lock tight and tightened the belt a bit more. Hasn't caused any dramas since but still rides low. I'd also like to know if there's something else I could or should do.

It's the pulleys. I loosened the CNC mounts they're on and sort of made the pulleys lean back towards the tail. The belt now rides just above center and not rubbing. Spinning the rotor head clockwise and counter-clockwise, the belt stays at the same level.

I may have improved mine when I replaced the screw into the mount. I enjoy working on any problems the Lepton has compared to my other heli I've been working on tonight thats for sure...
