View Full Version : Change the xx.fly and xx.map-files, yes, but how ?
HI.
I have 2 questions, thank's for all help. !
When I make my own scenery's for the PhoenixRC, I must use the default files <xxx.fly>
and <xxx.map>. It must be a way to change/edit this files, but how do I do what ?.
And what does the file <xxx.fly> do ?.
It is to bad that the Phoenix don't have any scenery-tool like Reflex XTR and Realfligth have !.
Can't figure out why they don't have it ?.!
Well,, thats it, thank's for all help.

Phoenix will make Aircraft Development Kit and scenery too, someday,....you can ask them by email.
For now, edit it in hexeditor soft,...like reference thread above,....
Cheers.
HI.
Thank's for the info.
Well, I think a just have to put the PhoenixRC into the wardrobe for a while, and stick to the real RC-sim's like Reflex XTR and RFG and AFPD.

Hey after you go back to Reflex I'll look for you online, oh no wait. Thats right they havent done that yet, heck no big deal they only promised it since the Germany show in 2007.
Hello.
Yes,, I'm also waiting for the Reflex updates that was promised on the Nurnberg 2007.
I guess they was a little bit to early with the promise. !?
My original question about the PhoenixRC was to find out how to change/edit the parameters when using default .fly and .map-files.
For example how to change the position of the windsack. I have some scenerys that the windsack is rigth of the middle in the runway.
Not good, have to switch of >Show windsack<. And how to edit/add collisions-object.
I'm not speaking about the technology itself, I can do Hexedit, but when I don't know that these parameters do it is useless.
So if there are some clever guys out there (I know it is!) please let us know the secret.
Until next time.

Hey Leo,
Have you given the online stuff a try yet? I'm telling you, its a blast. I host a session in North America called DelawareHeli.com, consider yourself invited if you ever want to.
Hello Bill
No, I have never run online rc's, not with the RFG3.5 or RFG4 or Clearview or PhoenixRC either.
Perheps I will try this some day, so thank's for the invitation.
