i have a H200 on order and all my lipos are 3Cell 910 kokams.....
not one 2-cell....
what motor would be a good replacement to use that batteries?
pinion?
i read (in another thread) that the stock motor won't be efficient on 3 cells.
i may try though.
any suggestions?

I think that the stock motor has would be fine with a 3S battery. You might want to change the pinion, but other than that, everything else should be fine. I haven't really found any motors that would even fit inside the Gaui yet so I would be interested to see what motors people suggest. I've asked the same question on other threads/forums, and people seem to be answering around the question. Probably because there aren't many if any other motors that are appropriate for the EP 200. We'll just have to see what other people say.

i can confirm the stock motor running ok on 3 cells.i used a 12 teeth pinion.
very powerful but flight times were a tad to short as i was used to.
i had this one in my walkera 64C (about the same size) and i was very happy with it. 12 min flight time on a 3 cell 910mah kokam.

for the H200 i bought this one, similar but little better than the first + it has a fan, both are 3800kv.

(links are very slow)
why 3 cell?? .....simple. i just have too many 3 cell packs, and not one 2 cell.
it was easier to just put another motor in it instead of soldering all packs....
I tried 12 teeth on the stock motor when my heli was ep100. It was okay, but not much better than 2s and you had to move the throttle curve down to 70% max. You can make the thing go nuts using 3s, but everything gets hot. I had it so I had the boom hot to the touch.

with my current setup everything, batt, esc, motor just gets a bit warm, that's it.
motor draws 14amps @ full throttle and i'm using a thunderbird-18.
but boom and other parts, - no.
mayby something like the belt is rubbing against it. too tight/loose maybe?
when I did it, my ep100 had better climbout than my ep200, so clearly it was spinning pretty fast. But in order to use the shaft drive, you need a 3s motor that can run on 15T, so I'm looking into that solution now.

not really. you can use a 3 cell motor with the shaft drive, but that is optional,
even if you have a 3 cell motor and a shaft drive installed,
you can use a 12 teeth pinion for the main gear, and a 10T (stock) for the shaft.
now if you can't find one, just dremmel the 15T off the 10T and use it.
yes, I am assuming could stick one pinion on top of the other, but would be much easier to find a motor that works with the stock pinions. I'm guessing something around 3300KV or so.

there is a Z 3300 on heli hobby,maybe that's something to consider.
if i remember right they have 2 versions, one for 2 cells and one for 3cells.

FYI ray stacey said they are testing a scorpion motor for the 200. or they were going to... i'm happy with the stock set up myself.
