Hi, I have some of the earlier AR7000's without the new protective coating of the two wires that comes out of the main receiver. I still have the flimsy wires that hang out each side,
I was wondering if that should be a concern and if there is a way to get that covering and upgrade my receiver.

Another question - is putting a AR6200 in a 60 sized Eheli. a mistake - it say full range, but obviously smaller then the AR7000,

Thanks,
Jeff

Drop of 5 min epoxy applied with toothpick at base of each wire. Or drop of hot melt glue. I used epoxy and am very happy with results.

Yep, it's a full range rx.
It's just like a 7000, just one less channel.
For an electric, 6 channels is all you need.

Not at all a mistake, plus you saved a few bucks.

Not exactly the same.

The AR6200 will work without the sat Rx plugged in. The AR7000 will not.

I didn't know the 6200 had a satellite Rx socket.

You can use heat shrink tube to cover the base and a few millimeters of the antenna wires. AR6200 would be fine as mentioned.
Good luck.
