Hello everyone, I was thinking of going to the WRAM show this weekend. It will be nice to go to such a large show and see all the products but can I expect to find any deals? Stocking up for the season and would like to come home with some stuff if I drive 3 hrs.

From my experience about the only good thing is that your not paying shipping. Usually the prices at trade shows are really not any less than what you can order from them online. Difference at the trade shows is usually your paying tax on the items you purchase at the show. There is some vendors that will run a show special. But if it is a great deal, those specials are gone quickly.
From looking at the exhibitors list for the WRAM show, not but a couple of heli booths and they will probably not be selling anything.

I went to the WRAM Show on Sunday. A few discounts on supplies and things but as you said not too many heli's. Horizon RC had the Blade400 on display, MRC had the large scale Helis down to their coax models. MSComposit had their CFC/GFC blades.
A couple Zillion of the indoor mini-copter type toys.
I did get a few bucks off on some Lipos from FMADirect, and got the opportunity to get my questions answered on my EagleTree V3 altimeter. It shows that my TREX is flying a mile high to negative 142 feet or so. EagleTree just released a beta of new firmware before the show which I will attempt to get an update. They recommend recalibrating the Altimeter with this new firmware.
Spend some time chatting with Dave Brown - ex AMA President, he's active in flying TREX's.
Didn't expect flying in the streets, but they had Indoor Foamies with Team Futaba, the 2007 World Champion and 12 year old Kyle Stacey doing some 3D with his Hurricane Gaui. The indoor area was about 30 feet wide, 30 feet high, and 80 to 100 feet long. The area was all enclosed with nets floor to ceiling. Kyle pinned his Hurricane to the ceiling (inverted of course) and turned around; took a few bows - reminds me of the JK video where he pins it to the warehouse door. Team JR Flew later, I got a call from work and had to cut the day short...Mike

The prices didn't seem to drop too much on Sunday.
Kyle and I got a kick out of one of the vendors downstairs. He had a cute little Walkera something there that he was certain I would surely buy if I could just watch him fly it. Unfortunately his tiny direct drive tail motor was burned out and I would just have to take his word for it. He did assure me that it would fly just like a Raptor 90.
I would have liked to see it fly :)

I hated to miss the WRAM show this year. Greg Alderman and I had a blast there last year.
Dave Brown rules!! :noteworthy
Glad to hear Kyle got to demo there Ray. Kyle is flying better every video I see of him.

Will,
Dave Brown does rule.
I love talking to him and listening to stories about his competition days.
His dedication to our hobby is unbeatable and he does a pretty nice job with his T-Rex!
Thanks for the comments on Kyle's flying. We had a great time there.
