He he someone has a few toys don't they?
Edvard is right, let it fall for a bit then feed in pitch.
I would think around 2100-2200RPM you would be running.
How do you select NO profile in vbar and what does that do?

How do you select NO profile in vbar and what does that do?
Good question. I actually haven't figured out what specifically triggers the "no profile" setting, but I do feel that it flies better with no profile selected...
You can run my program and it will de-select all profiles (you will want to adjust the agility slider as the saved file is bank0 i.e normal):

In beta we had a slider so we could put the profile "inbetween" Vivid-Medium-Precise
If you load such file it would show as no profile selected.
So even if no profile is selected, you are somewhere on that scale.
For sample if Vidid = +100, Medium = 0 and Precise = -100 setting +50 would render this, so would -50...
I have asked for getting that slider back as a expert setting, we'll see if that happens.

That wouldn't be a bad idea.
To tell you the truth i could not find much difference between precise and medium.
I do think that the explanation etc could be done better.

Dear TDR freaks,
I think i should add two of my summer pictures.
I think they are nice, even if the canopy is stock.
I did ask the photographer (owner of another TDR) if he want me to cut some grass, but he said this is low enough.

grass looks nice, the stock canopy is still my favorite i think
jointer

Yep, there was not much grass to cut. :lolol
(it is private airfield of my friend, the photographer, very well maintained)
I am thinking about ordering some Insane canopy, but also think this color combination is nice and "classic" so i will probably stick to it.
That friend of mine was a bit more creative and the result is included in my post. :)

Ouch, you just do not understand it!
That heli just want to fly forward even if there is no power! :)

Some "what is inside" photos.
Jive is locked by zip tie, because the adhesive tape under it got unglued in summer, resulting in ESC separation from the chassis during flight...
Vbar is on Align PU gel, locked by small CF strip from above, again with PU gel under it.
After this change (originally mounted on Futaba GY401 tape), the vibrations did not changed much, but i did have a better feeling in control, bit more precise and locked-in feel.
You can see BT module, it is (probably) not permanent mount, but i am trying to understand vibrations in flight and do some tail adjustments.
Then there is something strange sitting on the wall...
and old photo of T500 i found in the camera, that is what you end with after 2 years of tuning, when you start the hobby with stock T500 (lowered head, Gyrobot 900, ICE100A, Hacker motor, BLS251), sold about 6 months ago. :bawl

Interesting vbar mount mod you have there. Did you try the double Mikado vbar tape as per Jan’s recommendation? I used that on my first TDR which still has the black mini vbar. Also did the same with my 2nd TDR and the blue mini vbar – just waiting for the motor to arrive so I can get it in the air.

I know the feeling about upgrading the Trex500. I have so much money in mine that I can’t afford to sell it…ever!! Upgrades like FBL, vbar, KDE/Neu motor, Jive, etc etc…the list goes on. At least it flies really nice and to me was worth all the work.

I used single Futaba tape, because someone told me using double tape is not recommended by Mikado or something like that, i do not remember exactly, it is quite some time.
But later, i used just regular tape to have harder mount, it seemed to work better.
Then this mount, i have nobody to compare vibrations with (my friend have another TDR, but we converted both to this mount), but the feel was even better.
T500 - i sold it, because if not, i would buy BLS153 for it, convert from G900 to Vbar... i am not comfortable to have only one heli :) , but flight difference was so big i did not flown T500 anyway.

When I first got the TDR I still had the flybarred Trex500 and it flew terrible when compared to the TDR. However, after all the upgrades (especially the vbar, motor and ESC) I really enjoy the Trex500. With the KDE1708H-N42, it really is a power house but very stable given the V-control. :smokin:

It does not belong here, but why not to describe my reasons.
First i bought Hacker A40 motor, because the stock one was too hot after flight to allow me fly all 4 packs in a row and TT drive.
Then Ice100A to have more power and governor (sort of), G900 to have more power and agility, head from LA Heli Sniper lowered the now not needed high head (much better behaviour then), then mounted back 3x Futaba S9257 (i know, weak, but was working good) servos which i bought wit it at beginning, replacing slow Hitec HS5245 and BLS251 to have better tail.
Then i looked at the spare parts, bought a bit more of them and builded stock T500 CF and sold that with Hitecs.
Next season, after first flight with TDR, i got a feeling my T500 in ridiculously over powered and extremely agile.
Totally different experience then flying TDR.
Since i did not liked the huge difference, i decided to sell it, because else i would like better servos and also Vbar in it, so it would only cost me more money to have it perfect.
I regret it sometimes, because it was real fun to push it hard, producing spikes of 2kW, but if i wanted something like that today, i would choose probably Gaui X5.
I do feel a bit "unsecure" having only one heli, but i have another piece ordered for 2011, so i hope that will bring peace to my mind.

Okay, back to thread topic.
My first test video with HD Hero (borrowed).
Mount, vibration levels and my video editing skills can be improved a bit, but i think it is good enough for first try.
I hope you will enjoy it, even if the music is from my old DJ archive (i have nothing "commercial"). :)
Edit: it is in HD (720p)
