Maybe you wanna consider turning the sat around, that the red antenna is free from CF.

Other than that, nothing to complain about. . .

Thanks ZT. I was thinking the wiring will look neater, but I will turn it around.

The K Edition is awesome! Great job. What were the motor/esc, I couldn't tell from the pics?

I guess you made the canopy, based on the signature in your post?
Do you make your own TDR canopies or paint the original?
Also the Pyro cooling plate on your web is very nice.
And here is how to crash it with style:

I like how the canopy closes at the back. Are you using magnets?

What happened to cause it to pick up so violently? He was running Radix blades so the blades are stable.

I do not know, i just searched for Oli and found this, it is video old 20 hours.
Looks to me like he pulled the elevator too fast and the power system shut down. :)
The heli seems to be controllable after that.
They say something about Kosmik 200, but i do not understand German.
But the pass before the incident was very very nice!
Damage seems to be minimal, so the nice canopy will not be probably damaged.

No way a Pyro can shut down a Kosmic unless there is a flaw with a Kosmic. There are WAY MORE powerful motors than a Pyro available.

It did pitch up violently. Everything had its limit for sure.

I think we will never know, unless we get a visit from someone who was there.
I played the video few times and it really seems to me like loss of power.
But that is a speculation, i would prefer to see fast pass on the video then that. :(

looking at the way the blades were oriented it could be that a ball link come off??? they looked like they had a lot of pitch as he carried it off.

but i'm glad that nice paint job didn't get hurt.

That flight took place at ROTOR Live fair in Germany/Iffezheim this Saturday.
According to this thread (http://www.rc-heli.de/board/showthread.php?t=202115&page=23)Olis TDR (with the new Speed Canopy presented to the public for the first time BTW) was (besides the Kosmik) equipped with a new prototype main shaft gear made out of black plastic. Unfortunately it turned out to be too brittle and was completely shaved.

Thanks.
So the elevator pull was on purpose, but the new gears did not survived that.
Now i see the canopy have slightly different shape, i thought something is not right when looking at the photos, now i know what it is. :)
