I did see the difference in the canopy in the pictures, specially from the front being that it is round with no angle or counter curve and reaches lower. I thought it was custom made. So, is it official Henseleit?

That flight took place at ROTOR Live fair in Germany/Iffezheim this Saturday.
According to this thread (http://www.rc-heli.de/board/showthread.php?t=202115&page=23)Olis TDR (with the new Speed Canopy presented to the public for the first time BTW) was (besides the Kosmik) equipped with a new prototype main shaft gear made out of black plastic. Unfortunately it turned out to be too brittle and was completely shaved.

That was an interesting thread to read, using Google Translate! I wish I was there at Rotor Live; seems like the main complaint was that the catering was no good - LOL!

So I believe it's the new Henseleit speed canopy...(?) I'd like one. Or two... ASAP! :)

@ all

It's not from Henseleit, it's from Uwe Götz:

Does the center hub trunnion actually tetter ? just wondering what that center bearing does ? or maybe it's not a bearing ??. I thought a teetering hub would cause boom strikes during 3d ?

Yes it does. And it is a bearing.
Not the black bushing teeters, but the feathering shaft inside the black bushing teeters.
The bushing has a 2 tenth of a millimeter bigger diameter inside than the feathering shaft outside.
That results in about 5 mm teeter on the blade tips.
With all the resulting play after 50 flights it'll be around 10 mm. . .
Boom strikes is not common with the TDR.

Btw. nice pics in your dropbox.:)
And you might get a little bit more pitch on your tail, when you pull the centerhub more outward, as far as the flat for the grub screw allows.

Very cool Danny. How did you color the frames?

Danny_Swe

sanded the frame and then ordinary spray paint :) (ultra-gloss) it works quite good, not too scratch-sensitive (I have tried on my 550E for half a year with good result)

Ha! Yes, it is a magnificent field to fly at. Very close to Mar del Plata, one of our Beach Resort cities. We had the best of times last weekend.

This week I am competing in F3C Nationals but guess what... the TDR came with me!!!!

Nice flight, although it looked a bit close to those people playing on the field...

Which post processing stabilization program are you using ?

Thanks mate.

It's on Vbar 5.1, Powerjive 120HV.

:)

I meant the video processing, there is obviously some stabilization process being used (i.e. takes away the jiggly motion of holding the phone).
