What things did you get for the Extreme and what parts for the tempest. I believe you can get the Fury head with a tempest fram and that what may have happened. Or it was just a mistake.

hum the midle bearing block is in aluminium and has the bearing block from the tail shaft integrated...but there where also 2 plastick bearing blocks.. only used one of theme.. and the bearingblock for the schaft wasnt there so i supose the one in aloy is the one of the tempest....

Odd. I am putting together a new Extreme kit right now myself, and it is flawlessly cut. The new kits have the one piece middle bearing block with tail drive bearing instead of the 2 separate pieces like the extreme instructions show. I think this one piece block is shared on the tempest.

here are the peaces missing:
115-20(*2)
0866-4 (lowerhiousing with sprag bearing)
Bag10-C (Think its the new tail rotor box (got one of the new kits)
123-75-C
0405
0217

Think i've got everything....
Hope i'm an exeption cause it's realy a shame that you pay realy a lot: 1060€ here in germany, that are about 1296$ for a heli and you just get half of it :(
Well hope i'll get all thoes parts this week still... Cant wait to see that machin standing on its skids....

BTW: havents got the motor yet, schould i wait to have it and mount it or is it a pain to mount the motor when the heli is finished?

I have built about 20 of MA ships from the Tempest to the standard sport model..I have never had that type of a problem with MA..Yes I have been shorted (a screw or two)and once even had a part that was drilled improperly but MA stands behind there product 100% and will replace any missing or bad parts...sounds to me like your local hobby shop had a hand in it... was your kit completely sealed ???? MA puts a safety seal on all of their kits when they are completed so you can tell if the box has been opened ..

the box has been opened yes,
but all the parts missing would have been in sealed plastick bags.. Thoes bags where still sealed! and there were only a litle paper in it saying what part is missing.. so it comes from MA :)
ANd on the Box, there are some of the numbers of the missing parts/bag...
nevermind... if my LHS cant give me all the parts, i'll try at MA exept they contact me over tis forum (think there are one or two guys from MA here no?)

I would go thru your LHS first and if they cant make you happy contact MA thru their website with the date of purchase and the name of your LHS... No MA would not send out a kit that way its 100% or nothing....

Fred,
The kits leave MA with a seal on the box. What shop did you get the kit from?
You said 123-75 was not in the kit. Was there a tail rotor gear box in the kit?
If there was a closed gear box in the kit, sounds like you got a kit that was packed before the new open gear boxes were included in the kit. Or maybe the shop you got the kit from sold the open gear box and forgot to replace it.
Contact the shop you bought from first, then if needed contact MA. You will need the serial number of the kit.

Hum my LHS phoned with TOby..Toby told them to keep the kit and MA would send the missing parts, it would be easyer than send the kits back to MA...

Was there a CNC metal closed style gear box in the kit?

Which shop did you get the kit from?

The serial number will be on the box. The number should start with a 1020 ( 8.18 ratio) or 1021 ( 8.45 ratio).

I got a kit with the new open TG, they just forgot to replace it.

So the shop needs to replace the open style gear box.

Big Boys and Toys is the MA distributor in Germany. They would be who needs to be contacted about replacement parts.

i actually had some of the same problems. i had the new bearing block with the 2 old ones plus i had the new open tail gear box but the output shaft was on the wrong side. it was built backwards. they sent me a new one though. no problems now.
