hi all,
i have tried every possible to find autorotation setup but failed.
few people says TH-hold should be 0% as if you allow some throttle it will be cheating.
few showed video when they come to 2 feet they start hovering and then put heli down.
dont know how they hover at 1 or 3 feet without power.
my th-hold is 0% and idle up is off while doing auto.
even in phoenix sim training video's i seen knight 50 is showing that it has got some power when it reaches to 1/3 feet land level.
please guide what setup i should do in my tx to do perfect auto by rule of thumb.

I have worked out from trial and error that if you keep the throttle stick just below centre during the decent, it can then be pushed up a little at the end giving a bit of lift and slowing the heli to a hover; however I have seen plenty of phoenix recordings where the pilots are hardly using this last bit of extra lift. They seem to pitch the heli nose up towards the end instead.
Please note that I am a complete newbie, so you shouldn't take my observations as the correct way to do this.
I noticed that you did not have any replies, and I too am very interested in how to perform the perfect auto. So please can someone who knows what they are talking about let us know.
Cheers Geoff.

Are you asking what your pitch and throttle settings should be in throttle hold or what's the stick technique to fly an auto?

on both the way.
btw i dont see any option to setup pitch and throttle specially for th-hold in my tx.

Below are three threads that may help. You won't really set a throttle 'curve' for use when you flip the throttle hold (TH) switch. Instead it's a single value, like 0% or even -5%, essentially saying, no throttle.
You will set a pitch curve for TH. The threads explain what, why, and how.
BTW, what radio are you using with Phoenix? The threads mostly talk about DX7 but the principals will be the same regardless of which radio you use.

Oh, the stick technique. The 'power' that lets people hover just before they land is not from the motor. It's the energy stored in the spinning main rotor. At then end of the glide, the nose of the heli is raised to flare–this kills forward speed and spins up the rotor even more. Then, when the forward speed had bled off, you level the skids to prepare for touchdown and feed in collective pitch to cushion the landing. It all happens pretty fast and just takes practice. Lots of practice.

i do have futaba 6ex radio tx.
please suggest me on that basis mean time i try to figure dx7 workout but i think it would be hard for me to understand that as newbie beginner and dont have any other radio experience what their settings are actually.

btw i read your first link and found that dx7 has extra th curve for th-hold but here in my radio i dont have extra th-curve to setup with th-hold.

was reading this and want to know if this will be okay to setup for phoenix trex500 and 600 birds.
i have same futaba 6ex radio tx.

I use the same radio setup for all the helis n the sim. Not sure if that's optimal but it works for me.
I don't see a mention of a THROTTLE CURVE setting for TH in the links I listed, but definitely a PITCH CURVE. Most people make it the same as IDLE1 so there's no change when you flip the TH switch.
