no shadows?

I just loaded my g3 onto my laptop and it runs well,good smooth frame rate, but,,,,,,,no shadows. I have played with the settings but to no avail. A buddy says its the same on his laptop......I miss my shadows cuz its hard to get perspective on low inverted. any fix?

I'ma bit curious about this as well... I believe it has something to do w/ the graphics quality settings, as I can't run RF all out on my laptop...
