i cant afford a trex 600 but i love the Larger Electric Helis...Is this E-Smart 600 the same size looking as the Trex 600? i see some on ebay really cheap new...So far this was the cheapest Largest Heli i have seen so far..Just the Kit with the Motor.....
If anyone has one for sale,,,,please let me know.....
Also with this Heli do i absolutely need a seperate BEC and Battery?
i have a Jr. Voyager E and all i use to power it is a 3s 2100mAh battery with the Esc.....it's a 500 size heli.....
so can the same principle be done with the E-Smart 600? just 1 3s battery and 1 esc? of course servos, Gyro, Etc....
Please advise if anyone has experience Flying without a seperate BEC and Battery for Bec.....

The esky e-smart is a 550 size heli with 550mmblades.(slightly shorter than the trex 600) I have one of these(metal kit) and flies really well. It's a good beginner heli because it is so stable. The motor is the same as a Z30 which is a good power plant for the trex 600. Having a separate flight pack for the electronics is a must for this size heli, since most 60 amp and above ESC's don't come with a built in BEC. You will need at least a 75 amp ESC for this and at least a 401 gyro. The best bang for the buck servos I got was the hitec 5625mg's for the cyclic. You will enjoy this heli but be warned there is a lot of fine tuning needed to be done and if you are just beggining, you might need somebody experienced to help you.

i actually just ordered 1 today...i hope i like it..my goal was to get a nice large Heli....i'm a litle past beginners now..i only still hover but i can at least take it 100 feet in the air now with my Jr. Voyager E and go SEMI side to side....
so i can tackle the fine tuning...
but is it possible for you to send me photos of yours? i actually never seen one up front and was wondering if you can send maybe like 5 photos with the canopy on and send it to rhampton1914@gmail.com
maybe you can also take some photos with the Heli next to another Heli of yours that way i can see the comparison.......i hope i made a good decision...i really admire the size of the raptor 50 and trex 600...Awesome...i hope it's a comparible size to those Helis...
i have a Hurricane 550 and sold it like a Jerk and got a Jr. Voyager E...I couldnt afford the Trex 600 or Raptor 50 so i ordered a Esmart 600 Kit with motor...Got it for $189.00 @ Heli Direct...

Thats funny! I just saw the same kit, but I thought it was 199 w/motor and I was druling. The blade diameter is about 46.5 inches WOW I want, want, want.
Pretty much at your stage too. I just mess around in the backyard, hovering turning, a little bit of forward motion. Got a blade cx2 in october and since then cp pro, HBFP, HBFP (burshless motors) and a B400 and now graving a 600 size. Almost ordered today but did not, let me know what you think about it's size when you get it.

I do not have pics yet but if you are concerned about size, the stock kit includes a set of 550mm woodies(30 size), Compared to my trex 600, the e-smart is approx. 2 inches shorter in length. I know E-sky made a boom for it to take 600mm blades.(50 size). The trex 600 and the e-smart are about the same height and has the same boom diameter. The e-sky motor is slightly larger diameter than the align 600L, it has a slower rpm/volt rating but has far better torque than the align 600L motor. The esky motor also uses less current than the stock 600L motor. In fact I'm in the process of replacing my E-smart motor because I transplanted the e-smart motor into my trex 600. The esky motor does not heat up and is really easy on the align ESC. Best of all I get about 7-8 minutes flight time on the trex 600 doing mild to moderate 3D flights. Pics are out of the question right now for the e-smart because I am in the process of changing the TR system to the align TR system which I like the design better(the swap did not cost me anything because I just upgraded my trex 600 TR system to a metal one. I will post pcs as soon as I'm done with the mods. Another suggestion is to change the landing gear to a set of the new align trex 600 landing gear. I hope this helps.

Another note on the canopy, The stock one is plastic but really durable. I know they also sell the prepainted FG ones. For ESC, the align stock 75 amp ones work but will not soft start with the motor, I think the hobbywing 80A ones have a programmable soft start but I have not tested yet. For servos thehitec 5625mg's work really well. I used an old 401 gyro for mine. The trex 600 tail transplant is nearly complete, just waiting for the new metal TR shaft with pulley.

Another good heli is the Mikado the logo 10 deluxe edition available at modefos heli for 190 bucks. It's another 550 size heli. The trex 500 is OK but for another 15 or so bucks, you can get the trex 600. If you are worryng about the expensive li-po packs for the 600, look at the zippy 5000mAh 22.2V packs from hobby city. I have 2 of these packs for my 600 and I don't see any difference between the TP extreme V2 packs and these. I mostly do mild to moderate 3D and at time try to do some hard 3D maneuvers. I fly 3 times a week and have been testing the zippy packs for about 2 weeks now. But between the 2, I think you will get more bang for your buck with the e-smart. Fun factor is high for both helis.
