Waay cooler than excel, these pdfs can be filled out and saved.

FWIW, here's an Excel template for DX6 and DX7 Heli Programming (like the ones in the back of the manual). I use it to back up my radio and it made moving models from my DX6 to my DX7 easier.

Check out this old post by Heli_Harry, it has an excellent XLS shreadsheet, for the DX7, this is the one I use.

Yeah, sorry the link is broken. The new one ( a PDF) (http://www.spektrumrc.com/ProdInfo/Files/SPM2710_DX7_Programming_Guide_Heli107.pdf) on Spektrum's site doesn't seem editable. The EXCEL sheets in my post above still work or the one ChasHelicop linked are both very useful. Hope it helps.

I bought a DX7 and am trying to fly a Hurricane 550 choper with fatura 401 Gyro, but I am not sure how to program the DX7. I wish to program the DX7 for NORMAL FLIGHT only until I learn to fly it. Ray is there any way you could enter the required setting in your program so I could copy it. I am not after any #D settings only NORMAL SETTINGS. If you can help mate it would be gratefully appreciated.

Setting up the DX7 for use in Phoenix is less complicated than setting it up for a real heli. The Phoenix instructions are good and there's a lot of info in this forum on the subject, too. You don't need to deal with many of the settings in your radio (like Swash mix, Travel Adjust, sub Trim, even Expo) because they don't have an effect within the sim.
The first, and most important thing you need to do in Phoenix is create a new heli model in your DX7. CCPM should be OFF. If you then use the setup menus in Phoenix, specifically the transmitter settings, select the radio you're going to use from the list. You might want to choose the DX7 with 25% Expo. It will make the models easier to control, less twitchy. Then go through the calibration steps in Phoenix. With just these simple steps, your DX7 should let you fly in Phoenix fairly realistically.
