OK,
I am a newbie to the electric world of helis. I am building the MX 400 Pro and need alot of help with the setup. Here's what I've got. The heli, Futaba 9C Super (Air), HS 65's and a Walkera HH gyro. I would like to be able to set this up and go to the field and fly on my setup with out having to get the other flyers to be there everytime to help with setup. Just wanted to do tis one myself. Can any of you help me thru this??????
Thanks
Jamie

I can help but you may want to change the gyro out soon. The walkera (basic jr gyro) ackts up alot with weather changes. This can make for a bad flying time. best gyros to use are futaba gy240 or gy401 and jr 770. The servos are great choice for cyclic and will hold well on tail. the 65 with a 240 is great for learning and sport flying. Feel fre to ask away with your questions or pm me if you want. Oh and dont forget locktite every where a srew is in metal.

Curves are easy. One the x400 use a norm p curve of ~35 50 100 (this give only ~3 deg at low stick) t norm 0 60 100 / p idle one is strait 0 50 100 and t of 100 85 100. Its a good sport flying setup. If you are just learning only set for 9 or 10 deg pitch with 5 or 6 on cyclic. finless has a good vid on pitch gauges.
