Just busted the tail servo. I know that sokal always suggests the 3400G servo, but is there one thats not so expensive thats good? I want to upgrade to the GY401 gyro and my LHS has what seems like a good deal for $140. They have a GY401 w/ S9254 servo combo for $220. Dont know if that servo will work or if its good. What other servo can I use or will it really be worth it to spend ~$80 on a servo? LHS is open on Sunday so I hope someone can chime in here soon.
Thanks.

I just bought a Futaba S3156 for my tail. It holds like a rock. 35 bucks out the door. Also, you should switch to Align tail rotor blades from the 450. Five bucks = two pair. They are rock solid.

However, I have developed a "wag" in my tail that is very slight. I am working on correcting it. I am almost sure that it is something I did wrong.

Who is your LHS? Warrick?

Futaba S9650, or the S9257 each can be had for around $45 and will work very well. the bundled servo that comes with the 401 will not work,it is too large.

I have the 3400G as well, Heliproz lists the gy401 at 140 but add to cart and its 125.00

I live in Miami but I work in Miramar. All the hobby shops in Miami never have the parts. They only sell the heli itself so I go to Warricks when I need something. Looks like ill be making a trip there again.
